Teresa Waters from River Hill and Lee Rogers from Arundel Reach 500 Win Milestone

Two girls basketball coaches from CSZ jurisdictions have recently reached the 500 win milestone: Teresa Waters from River Hill and Lee Rogers from Arundel.

It has taken Waters 35 seasons to reach that mark, while it has taken Rogers 27. Some of Waters wins come from when she coached at Oakland Mills. Rogers has spent his entire coaching career with Arundel.

The two have also won multiple MPSSAA state championships: Waters has won three (two with Oakland Mills, one with River Hill) while Rogers has won four.

There are only five coaches in the Baltimore area to have reached that mark- Lin James (Langford GA, North Harford, 608 wins), Jerome Shelton (St. Frances Academy, 507 wins) and Linda Kilpatrick (Southern-AA, 503 wins) are the others to have accomplished it. Like Waters and Rogers, Shelton is still actively coaching and eclipsed the milestone in the last few weeks.

Mike Mohler from Catonsville High School is the closest active coach in the Baltimore area to reach 500 wins. He currently has 447.
