Dundalk Football Gearing up for 2015 Campaign

The Dundalk football program is hoping to improve upon their 2014 season. Despite picking up wins over rivals East Baltimore County Patapsco and Kenwood, the Owls finished the season with a 4-6 record.

"Our goals are to play with more consistency on both sides of the ball and to eliminate the mental mistakes that plagued us last year," said Owls head coach Sean Sandora.

Those mental mistakes should be easier to eliminate this season with a more experienced team at Sandora's disposal. The Owls are returning seven players on offense, and eight on the defensive side of the ball, making Dundalk one of the more experienced teams in Baltimore County.

The team also has multiple play makers on each side of the ball. On offense, Duron Ball and Ta'Vaughn Johnson are expected to make a big impact for the Owls, while defensively, Mike Rumber and ShyQuan Barnes are expected to be leaders on the field. That group of four will have to step up in order for the Owls to be successful. Dundalk has a tough schedule which includes Milford Mill, Franklin and their local rival, Patapsco.

"We are looking at each game as a big game on our schedule this season," said Sandora. "Hopefully, people will see a good football team that is disciplined and plays fast for four quarters."
